VERY nice boat, Terry!
So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

Scratchbuilder I am 75 now but recall when the licorice was the real thing & quite the diuretic. I was precocious back then, thought i shud become a urologist.

If I remember the winch system on Bugsier was an interesting and enjoyable sub assembly....
If it don't fit, use a hammer to make it fit....

Would that be the Fodens opposite SS Radio? Sherbert space ships were two for a penny I think Blackjacks were four for a penny..

“If you can keep the sweat shop image going”

I remember when I was a boy staying with my Aunt and Uncle in Wallasey.
Used to go to the local sweat shop called Fodens and get 12 licorish sticks for one old penny.
Usually we’re very sick after 😂😂😂
Never give up.It will come right in the end.

A nice Tug, is it already made or a kit.
I have a kit to build which is model no 3 in line to be built. Would be interested to see some close up pictures.

When we had more exhibitions than we have now there was always a Bugsier 3 sometimes disguised but as they went on sale in 1974 there must be a lot about. The hull is from Plura plastic and was the first kit to use this material.

I must'nt get too enthusiastic as there are 2 kits I have so far left unstarted.

Hi if you can keep the sweetshop image going you should have an enjoyable and long life. And at your tender young age, so nice to hear!

I am still going to the sweetshop and they still have things I want.
I too have a Bugsier3, unfinished, it has been there for quite a while now. I pick up odd items that will fit in with the yet to build boats and think of all the other craft waiting to come out and join the fun.

To more serious things anyone know who still sells licorice torpedos or similar name licorice comforts? Not had any since I found a shop in Australia and bought what they had left.

regards

Later today I'm picking up a Bugsier 3 tug. Been trying to find one for around 3 months now . At 64 I'm feeling like a child with 10 shillings to spend in a sweet shop 😆
