ROBBE U47

Hi Quattroo.
I have just taken a few pictures for you of my tank.
As I said previously I have removed it for maintenance.
When I get time to maintain it is a different matter ☹️.
They are great tanks and I would recommend.
Regards
Bill.

ROBBE U47

Hi QT,
Quote from Engel's (Engel is his correct name😉) Dive System descriptions:-

"For models, such as Robbe's U47, the BTS combined with an Engel Piston Tank is the solution to convert this kit to a static diving model!"

Max external dimensions of the dive tanks are 76x87mm. This is fixed for all tank variants.
Volume is altered simply by varying the stroke of the piston (length of tank).
Also check out what they include in their own VII-C kit, which at 1/34 is about a foot longer than the Robbe version. Be prepared to dig deep into your piggy bank, and anyone else's you can get your hands on😉🤑
Viel Glück🤞
Cheers, Doug 😎

Young at heart 😉 Slightly older in other places.😊 Cheers Doug

Hi Quattroo
Have a look at these site
AMS should be ably to help you, also take a look at R&R Model Engineering
Beck’s Model Marine & Sheerline Model submarines on facebook
That's all right, Mr Ryan. My Morse is so rusty, I could be sending him dimensions on Playmate of the Month.

Quattro à good evening
Engle has a number of submarines and diving units but I do not know if they fit in the U 47. It’s worth trying to contact them and see ask

Always liked the Revell U-47 cutaway kit in 1:125 scale. But, it’s not quite what you are looking for Q. The ArkModel 1:48 is really sharp and pricey.

Hello Quattroo.
If it helps have. Look at my members Harbour where you will see my U47.
She is a great boat.
I did have an Engle tank in her but it was temperamental at times and I removed it to repair.
I will refit at some point.
Great kit to make though,
Regards
Bill.

He even did sell a kit. But that was 10 years ago. Now he is more interested in other topics, like steam propulsion.

I'm afraid that if you want static dive, you will have to engineer it. My good friend Eduardo Yraola did some scratch builds of static dive submarines. For example, this of L.A. Class:
. For some time he even did sell a kit. But now he is more interested in steam propulsion.
