@Ronald. There are plenty, but it comes at a cost. We are now only paying R450, which is about $30 per month. Self storage that size will push it up to 10x that at $300 per month. And neither I nor the club has that kind of money per month.
@hermank. Yesterday we found a nice pond on a Wine Estate which hopefully will give us a second option, as the one we currently used is a municipal storm water dam and they don't want to spend money on it. Other clubs also use it, but to refuse to contribute to improve the pond. So it's up to us to make a difference. To the benefit of leeches as well.

MONEY SEEMS TO RULE THE WORLD EVERY WHERE
Our pond has been especially built for our club. A pond completely in concrete -1m deep and we have to leave it as the company who build it has been taken over by the government and they need money. On top of that the government want to open the whole area and we have to move or pay a ridiculous amount of yearly rent.

The sadest Easter
This Easter is a very sad one. Due to the recent change of ownership, we have lost our model storage space and we are clearing it out.
The first load of goods were off loaded at the local waste collection site this morning.
Sadly a couple of large scale models will also be disposed of. Among those being dumped is a Victoria sailboat, an old time classic in almost perfect condition.
But life must go on.
