Good Morning Roy! I pulled this little guy out of the box. It's a Mabuchi RE-36 and is quite small...for such a big boat imho. When I get around to building this old gal I will retro fit her with a more modern set-up.

Looks like a Mabuchi, which one? I collect motors and have several of the blue coloured Mabuchi motors.
I thought it might be a 705 or similar number.
I have a new one of those in a nice box.

Tx Jump. Tower looks great. I’ve not done one on either of my two SF’s. Always been hesitant because of potential damage during transport.
Once on a real 47’ SF I got stuck in the tower when the seas kicked up preventing a return to the cockpit.

Here ya' go Chum. It's an ancient (1965) 30 inch Lindberg 40' ("motorized") Sport Fisherman that I restored and kit bashed the marlin bridge years back. I put mahogany veneer all over it detailed it for fun. It's really a great kit with some super engineering: a high-water mark for Lindberg, but sadly the original hull mold was destroyed at the factory (still a mystery how) and the remaining molds may have gone into the garbage as well!!! It can still be had online (at rip-off prices up to $800!), but the plastic (other than the hull) is of a poor quality and is very brittle now. I picked one up that was almost lost in the Hurricane Sandy flood years back at a legendary professional model builder's shop in Brooklyn, NY and it's still in my stash. He had over a thousand kits and was a renowned commission builder. Many precious kits were lost, but a few hobby shops in the Tri-State area resurrected what they could and I was lucky to pick up the Lindberg kit.
