Then I’m going to make some changes to the quiz and Wordle… both will leave the home page and be moved to a dedicated Fun & Games category, maybe called the Captains Game Chest or similar! Any category title ideas for me? Pirates Puzzles, The Riddle Reef, I’ve not decided what to call it yet!

I’d like to have another go with the AI generated questions (yes, we all know AI isn’t accurate!) - But instead of recycled inaccurate quiz questions, we might as well have new inaccurate quiz questions! With it being off the homepage I hope it’ll return the website slightly more back to its former focus of the forum, photos, blogs etc for all our superb members. The puzzle page can then be an option for those interested in that 😊

Finally - Christmas is coming up. We’ve often done a Christmas quiz, but I’d like to focus this year on charity fund raising, for either cancer research, or for the cancer hospice that did so much for my dad in his final days. I haven’t figured out the specifics, but I do think cancer is a better cause that has affected a lot of people on this site also. More than our lifeboats anyway, which are sadly more of a taxi service across the channel these days.

I’ll keep you all posted on the changes!

Firstly, our condolences on the loss of your father. It is logical that one's life is shaken up a bit. . .
Thank you also for your input. Now we also know what exclusive work is behind such a great and useful homepage. I would like to thank you once again for your work, which is not something that can be taken for granted.
I have received more tips and ideas, even boat plans, here than anywhere else!
You Stephen, are great, but I would also like to thank the members who adhere to our etiquette. You guys are awesome.

Sorry for neglecting the website maintenance recently too. Life has been pretty chaotic here, really since I lost my dad, which has resulted in less time put into the site. Not excusable really as I know he was always super proud of me for creating this community - and you guys really make the website what it is! I just keep things ticking and pay the bills 😂

Often into December we do some kind of fun activity too. I’ve an idea, so watch this space!

Once the emails are fixed, I’ll let you know. Hopefully you’ll get an email notification telling you! I think basically they’ve changed the rules lately for their ‘spam detection’ - it’s the website hosting company IONOS that disabled it. I’ll get things back though 👍

Apparently, this did not work either! 😒

I am experiencing the same. I logged in and went to the support tab. There is a selection for “not receiving emails”. I followed the directions and will see if this helps.

Does support receive messages advising this problem?? I've sent three messages as I've not had any notification mail for best part of a month. Has anyone had mail from support explaining why this is happening? If this doesn't get fixed in 7 days I'm stopping my monthly membership payments.

Is anybody working on this or can someone offer a solution. I go to this for several times a day and have to back door to open. Please help or should I just forget about this site and move on to other forums? Hi 👋

I also have not been receiving notifications for a while looked at my settings and all seem good. Where is the problem and can it be fixed as I look at this site daily 🤔 could someone answer the problem. Should I sign out then sing in again like a reboot?

I do not get any more notification emails either, I thought it must have been something that I had done or I had been chucked off ??
But I have been away in my motorhome for a few days and I have answered 2 questions wrong and down to 82%.

Dear Hermank, from your messages that I have read so far, I deduce that you are more than lively and active (as well as always positive).
Until the problem is resolved we will visit the forum and builds from time to time, rather than waiting for notification emails.
