    Ronald,

The seller's family lived in England for a number of years. I'm not sure if it was Military or work that brought them there.
The boat was purchased during that time and made the pilgrimage to the States when the family moved back.
They also have a "new in the box" John Hemmens - "Lady Jane" kit that they have for sale. Their father had a "new in the box" Monahan "Heron" vertical steam plant to go with it, but they sold that in November of last year.

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

I was right, it does have welded seams, seen in sternโ€™s photo. The seller said, the tugboat had a steel hull and wooden upper structure. Built in England over 50 years ago.

It doesn't matter anymore. The boats were posted on our club Facebook Group, as an offer to members of the club.
I contacted the person who posted them, and told him I would grab them for the club.
Before I could get there, somebody else NOT ever in our club (I have records back to 2010) showed up and told the guy he was from the club and was there to get the boats. ๐Ÿ™„
He got them all. The club got nothing.๐Ÿ˜

PS thanks to those who offered help identifying.

Doesn't look like the Bugsier 3. Again, I find there are quite a few, what looks like to me, fantacy models floating around.

When you go get these models, have a look at the stern where there appears to be tack welding and three bolts& nuts.

Looks a bit like a Cervia Thames steam tug or a Sun, also a Thames steam tug.. The Sun is the monochrome picture...
If it don't fit, use a hammer to make it fit....

    Hello Dave
First of all congratulations, a beautiful ship that is worth restoring. ๐Ÿ‘
I also think this is the BUGSIER 3.
That's right, the length is not right, if the dimensions given are correct.

Today, I was contacted by a gentleman who wants to donate 4 boats from his father's estate to our club.
He knows pretty much nothing about them, and flew in to Minnesota for the weekend, so needs these picked up today.
He didn't post pictures of a couple, but did post these. He claims it is about 4 feet long.
To me, it looks in many ways like a Graupner Bugsier 3. But I think the Graupner model was only 3 feet or so.
Can anybody recognize this boat? Is it a scratch build upsized Bugsier?
I plan to pick up the boats he is offering our club tomorrow.
    Thanks for any help.
    Dave B
