Hi Pat.
I don't know English well, I use Google translator.
What do you mean by:
"Wanting the lights already in lamps to replace the solid ones,"
How long are these ships in reality?
If it is not more than 25 meters you should put:
A white light at the masthead with a light sector of 225 degrees (centered on the longitudinal line). This light must therefore be seen with the ship in front or from the side but not from behind.
A white light at the stern (lower than the masthead light) with a visibility sector of 135 degrees. The light is visible only from the stern.
A red light to the port side of the ship (roughly in the center) with a light angle of 112.5 degrees (starting from the longitudinal line of the ship). This light is visible from the others only when the ship is sailing to port.
A green light to the starboard side of the ship (roughly in the center) with a light angle of 112.5 degrees (starting from the longitudinal line of the ship). This light is visible from the others only when the ship is sailing to the right.
This configuration is fine as long as your ship is not a fishing boat, a dredger, a pilot ship or a sailing ship, or less than 20 meters.
All lights are fixed.
I would use single LEDs and do the system myself.
Can you post some pictures of the old system to be replaced?
Are the ships the ones in this link?
