Hi Doug

A very comprehesive answer - could hav enamed the Buldogs back as far an the Enigma capture but I would have to look in a refernce book ie Janes for any thing before this.

Actually Pat there have been 7 ships named HMS Bulldog.
@stephen: which 'Bulldog' do you have? I don't see your picture.

The fifth HMS Bulldog (1909) was a Beagle-class destroyer scrapped in 1920.
The sixth HMS Bulldog (H91) was a destroyer launched in 1930 and scrapped in 1946. She is most famous for the actions of some of her crew in making the first capture of an Enigma machine.
The seventh HMS Bulldog (A317) was launched in 1967 as the lead ship of the Bulldog-class survey vessels.
The 8th will be a Type 31 Frigate, Inspiration Class.

Doug😉
BTW Pat: Which picture? I only see yours, which is a Bulldog class ship.
Attached pic is of HMS Fawn, also Bulldog class.

Steven

Don’t want to upset you but the boat in the picture is not HMS Bulldog.

Bulldog was a Coastal Survey vessel built by Brooke Marine Lowestoft in 1968

Does any one have any info on this boat interested in a massive restoration on one that's built in the 1960s
