Hi Roycv,
With regards to the existing motor, I'll be switching for a new motor etc. My electronic skills are limited so I tend to work within my comfort zone 😊. With regards to make and model there's nothing visible in shape or form hence any suggestions gratefully accepted. At least this gives me some pointers to research before I start.

Looks to me as though someone has taken a nice hull from maybe a speed boat and crafted their own superstructure onto it in a freehand sort of way, the superstructure looks very narrow at the front.

Hi Doogle, I was interested in the Taycol motor and all the wiring heavily insulated for RF interference. I was wondering if you were going to use it as most esc's will not drive it on 27 & 40 Mhtz.
I was wondering if it might work with 2.4Ghtz? If so there may still be a problem with nearby electric models, but brushless should be OK.
Be interested to know.
I think it is the Meteor but it is stamped on the brass brackets on the base. One says Made in England and the other is the model type.
regards
Roy

To me (at first glance) the deep vee hull looks remarkably similar to the LesRo Rapier or the smaller Stilletto so I think it would be more like an off-shore boat than a river cruiser.
I see that you also have a Taycol electric motor, so you have had a really good ten quids worth!
Well done!
Bob.

Good evening everyone. It's been a while since I last posted.
I won't go into too much detail, except between working silly hours, hospital visits not only for myself and my wife, but then throw my mum into the mix, it's seems to have been a long haul so far. Needless to say, when I've had time, I try to keep up with some posts and see what you're doing. 😊
Anyway, I digress too much. I've just picked up this little beauty as a restoration project for the princely sum of £10 I believe it is around 30/40 yrs old, construction is wood and she measures 30" in length, width is 8.5" and the height approx 9". Prop shaft and original motor are still present as is the arrangement for the rudder which is missing along with the prop. I have know idea who the manufacturer was or the type of vessel, looks like one of the river cruisers you'd see on the Thames, could be wrong. Any ideas please. I'm still working on a couple of projects when I'm getting the time and I'll add posts to these builds. Everything's just taking a bit longer 😁.
