Hi Ricks, I also used cotton poplin, which is the most common fabric for elegant white shirts. If you don't like white, no problem; you can dye it or give it an antique look.

Rick Are you able to get cotton poplin or a bed sheet? Possibly some fabric dye to make sail a reddish brown ?
If so, then making your own sails is not too difficult, that is unless youโre wanting something that is truly scale with all those hoops and rope stitches that a real canvas sail would have on it along with grommets. Just a thought
