Hi,
I had the same problem with my two masted schooner but the fix was easy.
I used one of my Marblehead keels. Weight was spot on and the length was good.

Hi DuncanP, I was having trouble with my two masted schooner wich has two jibs. An old sailor told me to use tis system and use the winch run the two main sails (main and mizzen). I have had no troubles since.
Hi AlessandroSPQR, I have found no difference between the two systems. It comes down to the amount of space you have.

Hi AlessandroSPQR, I have no preference it depends on the yacht. I have footy yachts, Micros, Marbleheads and other sorts. The word got around that I liked yachts and I wound up with 10 hulls of different types. One of which I might turn into a Norfolk Wherry. The first photo is one of the best little yachts I have and it can sit on the back seat fully rigged. The second is a yacht that I am looking for as Dad bought me when I was a wee boy. Regards

I am posting this here as I am new to the site and cannot find what I am looking for. One of the group was seeking help with yacht sails and I have found something to help.
As soon as I posted this I scrolled down and saw my earlier posts...silly me. Regards

Get the book by Vic Smeed and it will have all the answers. I have a few yachts and some run on one winch. These are Rob Guyatt winches which are expensive but one I purchased was fourteen(14) years ago and still runs fine and I sail in saltwater. One yacht uses two winches, one for each sail, because the guy who built it some forty(40) years ago overbuilt the insides. A quick search of the internet will give you all the information. Regards

It could have been me. I need four figures at 1/12 scale. Fishermen if possible but I would try any civilian figure. Standing and sitting if possible. Regards

Hi, as I live in Australia and have very few good model shops I am asking for some help.
My latest project is a 1/12 scale Fishing Lugger.
I need a crew for her but I would like some detailed old fishermen of a period say 1900s.
Also any fishing related parts like boxes of fish, nets and the like.
Regards

๐ Hobby Shops (stores) Waining

Hi all,
Here in Australia things are about the same.
The good news is that down in Victoria I have found two stores with good service and will post anywhere.
The first is mainly marine models and all I have to do is to send an email with what I need and it is posted the same day.
The second is a Timber store that grows its own balsa and like the ply you can order via email.
So if you can find a good shop or store never let them go.
Regards
