I guess since this is a lifeboat going out to make a rescue, the old song, “What do you do with a drunken sailor”
makes a good application, he won’t be able to tell you anything about the reds and greens. He is just be glad you are there to rescue him.🤪😘🤢🧜🏽♂️

Hi Hermank, my friend, don't worry, you're forgiven, but don't ever do it again, hahahaha.
The fact is, many of us here are familiar with Colreg, Iala, and many other international regulations, and on top of that, there's also AI, which, with the question of the day, is training us and creating infallible war machines, hahahaha.

Many years ago the model on the front cover of the Model Boats magazine had the feature article model image reversed. I expect the graphics designer thought the photo looked better that way round.
Having written that I think I used to know the graphics designer, but more into soldiers, he was a very nice guy, but there you are!

Hi Hermank, congratulations, you did a great job.
I also think the green light should be moved; the red light should be on the left.
For the switch, I suggest using radio-controlled ones instead of manual ones if you have the radio channel available.
Herman
Red is on the Port / Left side of vessel.
You have your navigation lights reversed.
What size LED diode are you using?

Hi Luke you're idea regarding lighting is possible. I have mine linked to an electronic switch and a fob that i have attached to house keys. It allows me to have the lights completely separate from the receiver and is powered by a small 2s li-ion. It means i can independently control 4 light functions, though one channel can easily be a radar or smoke machine etc. For flashing i'd opt for a simple flasher unit.
I'd normally opt to wire all the static lights together then blinker seperate. For smoke unit or radar i'll fit an inline fuse. With the 2s battery it's enough for a weeks worth of sailing.
Best wishes
Scott

Hi Thank you for the reply and that's very kind of you regarding the nav lights..thank you again!
Im thinking red port, green starboard and 2 white..1 for mast headlight and another for the sternlight, maybe an interior red light for the wheelhouse, a flashing blue light if its possible without flasher units etc?
as I have no clue on how they work or how to wire them to the reciever?!
Im hoping to keep it simple and wire all the lights and radar together and run it off a 12v battery box with a switch located somewhere in the wheelhouse as not to interfere with lifting the wheelhouse off to reach the rc equipment in the hull..again not sure if that's possible yet? But if you have any ideas on wiring etc that would be a great help!
The radar is perfect im thinking! so thank you again..I'll trawl the Internet when ready for that section of the build!
Thank-you again and kindest regards Luke 👍

Hi Luke
Lovely choice 👌. One of our ex club members had one and it's a stunning vessel. As for the outfitting I can't help there though with radar and lights certainly can. Let me know what colour of led lights you need as ive thousands of diodes here in every colour and will solder 25cm of cable on and get them to you. For the tiniest of cost they owe me they are a gift to you.
In regards to the working radar have a look at the photo I include. They are built rather well and the 30rpm version looks most realistic. Can alter that speed more by connecting it up to a 1-5amp brushed esc and running it off a pot on the transmitter

Hi all, I'm hope everyone is well!
Ive just ordered a MS 1/16 RNLI Tamar lifeboat and was hoping to reach out and ask if anyone has some build pictures or their boat project they dont mind posting on the site 👍
I have a few ideas on what r/c gear i want to install along with a working bow thruster 😁
Im after some Inspiration on working radar, maybe 1 interior wheelhouse light along with navigation and mast lights👍
The finer details around the wheelhouse and deck i think ive pretty much thought it out🤔but any ideas or some pictures of your builds would be very much appreciated if you dont mind 🤞
Many thanks for your help and time and Warmest regards
