it isn't to the photo but the hull shape isn't a mount field or mobile marine one but is more freelance to make the boat like the photographs

Stephen how is your model different than the photo here?
Look closely, your model:
1) missing life rings, 2) missing the stove pipe from the galley, 3) it is missing the signaling arm off the mast, 4) steam whistle on the front of the stack, 5) arm on aft mast. You can see the rigging for the forward mast and stays for the stack.
These tugs were basically the same standing rigging. Yes, there are some differences as seen on the Joffre but my references were not for the superstructure but to answer your original questions about rigging plus any other items.
Deck features will be about the same too. It looks as though the builder of the model took liberties that can be seen when comparing the black and white photo of the original tugboat.

thanks for the help guys the Joffree tug is a totally different shape the info about the tug is most helpful I have got in touch withe plans people to see if they shed light on what I have

Looks like a older and modified mountfleet Empire Tug.
Has close features.

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.
