Haha he got fairly close to the ships. That was his last trip on the river. Now he's confined to some lochs for faster runs and the pond for slower 😊

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

So this is something you wont have seen before and the amount of work, coordination and time that went into recovery was pretty crazy.
Last year i was running my first person view boat on a river a few yards from home. This boat is a Krick Florida 26 and was built purposely to live stream video back to my goggles. I had just gotten a new esc and unknown to me at the time it had a weak solder joint.
Well i found this out in the middle of the river that happens to run down into a very busy oil, gas and utilty harbour.
On realising i had lost all power minus my video i called the harbour authority. As it was a quiet sunday they launched into action utilising cctv to track "froggy" along with tied up vessels and launched the pilot boat to the rescue.
I'll say no more though in return i was offered a trip out on their boat in exchange for a shot of my headset boat 😊
