I bought mine at the Blackpool Show and Brian offered me the top at the same time. I believe he intends to make a part kit in time and the top I and my friend have were from the development stage.
Perhaps if you give them a ring and speak to Ann or Brian they will also sell you the top. Certainly makes for a strong boat and is relatively quick to build if you have model aircraft experience.
There are running formers on the base so they help keep the model relatively straight in the water.
Great fun especially if there is no wind for the yachts or the weed is being problematic.

Ref Dave M's airboat pics, did they come with the hull and the deck, or did you make the deck yourself? Mobile Marine only seem to sell the hull, and the two boats in your photos appear to have the same decks.

My airboat was a plastic hull and top from Mobile Marine.
I added my own top details and use a 2228 brushless with a cut down 10" prop. Cheap 30amp Chinese ESC and 11.1v Lipo.
This is the larger version there is a smaller version also.

Drones are a whole new ball game but usually come as a complete ready to fly set. if you are thinking of pics of your boats on the water you will need to spend about £300 to get a good basic but reliable drone.

Like a swamp boat near on flat bottomed raised seat ect.

Model airplanes do not do much for me few and far between are the areas to fly.

But Am looking at some camera drones..Ready to fly.

Have a look on the Hobbyking site, the motors generally have prop size, thrust, battery and hairy plane weight.

If you are buying a motor and prop together chances are all the fittings will be provided.
You mention an ad so are you buying a model plane? if so a suitable motor and prop should be suggested.
As an ex flyer this can be difficult to get right and the overall weight plays a big part in your choice. if it's too heavy it will fly like a brick so motor prop and battery need to be chosen to suit the type of plane. Just like boats some are fast and others slow and the prop needs to be right for the plane.
If you have decided on a particular model it would help to know what it is, please?

I was looking at a brushless setup .

Esc motor and the matched prop for a plane at1.5. Kg

The ad said nothing about the prop to motor attachment so I thought it was worth asking.

I agree. We both have learnt over the years from past experience in this respect. Some of our members however are not so fortunate and perhaps benefit from being reminded of the parameters.

Hi Dave, Sonar seemed to have an easy problem to help with, props must be a balance to the motor output, thrust , RPM and amps drawn. not like in my day, brute horsepower and more nitro!!! we were also using Glass and carbon props at 30000 plus rpm, OOOH the noise

I agree the mounting hole size may be adjusted for diameter regardless of the prop size.

Perhaps we should clarify that whilst there are a range of prop sizes and pitches that motors will support, in that respect there is a limit on size depending on the motor used.

Good to see people are considering prop driven craft, I enjoy my skimmer and it took some time to get the right prop. Quite takes me back to my flying days.

The only thing you need is a prop driver attachment, bolts on with grub screws, prop size does not matter as you reame the prop hub to the correct diameter, dont get a small hub prop, get one designed to go on lecy drive
