Construction of a smoker

Thanks for your advice Steve, have already bought the wooden decks and upgrade on the armament, plus countless etch brass sheets, for more detail, I'm expecting things to break off, as it happens with many of my boats I sail, with detail work on them.😐

Yes, she is. A very satisfying model to build with much detail,(2,000 parts), but beware if you're going to convert to R/C.
The Dean's drivetrain is very good if a bit pricey, the problem is, with so many fragile parts you will always break or bend something however careful you are. It is worth investing in wooden decking and upgrading the main armament gun barrels.

Nice video, the Black and white film looks like an old 40s-50s war picture.

I know. However my Campbeltown and Hood look pretty good with white smoke so I shall install a 12v smoker in each of the funnels on Resolve. I will post a video as I get into the build.

What a pity Cormorant, and such a lovely boat, would have looked superb, with plumes of Black smoke pouring from her funnels.😐

Ah, shame. My latest project, HMT Resolve will have to be powered by electric then!

Re (I'm going back to trying to turn lead into gold!)
I know how to make purple smoke if that's any use, but it leaves big black daggs as a residue. Oxalic acid, potassium permanganate, and a nasty substance I wont name. Also highly toxic!
Black smoke would probably have the pond Nazis out ! Burning LiPos make lots of nice grey smoke😊 (also toxic) A fan which blows fine powdered charcoal? (bio friendly) Ask an industrial chemist for a safe method.

That's something we alchemists have been trying to do for years Steve 🤔
(I'm going back to trying to turn lead into gold!)

After seeing the effects of a nutter setting fire to some car tyres in our underground garage ☹️😠 I thought I might try burning model car tyres!
If you do stumble on the secret Steve DO please let us know👍

Click on (see all discussions) in the topic forum then go to page 16 and look for smoke generator.
I hope this is the one.
Or type in the search field (smoke generator)
