Hi Jarvo what's your interest in the police boats?
They are currently in use on the Thames but with a much more modern craft.
I assume you've seen the blogs on the 1950s Police boat by Vintage Model Works
http://www.vintagemodelworks.co.uk/ I'm currently working on mine nearing completion. Its been a great kit to build check out the link if you've not already seen it. Rob also completed one last year

Thought these vids might be of interest for a bit of detail.

Found an interesting bit of info on the builders of the early police boats (Tough Bros of Teddington). One of the brothers (Douglas Tough) was the man responsible for organising and making fit for the crossing, all of the private boats (around 100) for the Dunkirk evacuation.
