So right Martin and Nerys it was good to see a notification. I do believe it has been quieter this past while.Maybe we are in need of a rest from the reality of the pandemic. A light for me has been that Nancy and I have had our first shots of the vaccine.Second shot early July. If the shots are heard around the world we may have hope for brighter days to come.

Some days it takes me quite a few hours to go through them and respond, but it dose help to keep track on what is going on.

I agree, certainly it does help with engagement. The email notifications should be back on again. The web host blocked them over the weekend due to a surge on Friday, so I had to prove it was a normal event and not spam. (I also think they want to sell their marketing solutions, so they’re quite indifferent about blocking emails for any reason!)

Hi Stephen, I do hope you are able to get the notifications back to us before too long. It doesn't seem the same to open the email page and not see a long list of Model Boat notifications awaiting me. On a serious note, I think a lack of notifications gives rise to a lack in participation in posting to the site. These last days whilst notifications have been absent, there has been far less posts to the Forum than usual. I'm sure, reading through notifications as emails encourages people to follow it up on the site and possibly reply. What do others think?

Alright, so it may be a little while before emails are working again. The web host blocked all outgoing mail due to yesterdays spike in notifications (Martin555 - you weren't far wrong with the hammering!)

I phoned the company up, instead of re-enabling emails they tried to sell me their email marketing packages... the real reason for the "security" block perhaps? 😠

...so trying via email instead which always takes time.

I think I received about three yesterday, (all day), but there hasn't been anywhere near as many as usual for about a week. None today, so far.

Yes for some reason it stoped working about midday yesterday day.

Stephen (Fireboat) is aware.

It probably packed up because it knew it was in for a hammering with me catching up LOL!!!
