Logical Captain Kirk 😉
Fascinating! I shall look up the entomology of 'butt' (UK & US) in the Starfleet database.
Keep on barrelling along Tora.
I'm off to get my ears groomed now.
Cheers, Doug 😎
BTW; for the last 68 years it's been the Queen's English!😁
Young at heart 😉 Slightly older in other places.😊 Cheers Doug

Doug,
...a rain barrel, what else would we call it? It is not exactly like we use the King's English... or for that matter know what it is! 😂😂😂😂

Hi Tora,
I realise that 'butt' has a totally different connotation (😮🙈) on your side of the pond!
So what do you guys call such a barrel for collecting rain water?
Spent some time in the States a while back; New york, Long Island, Buffalo, Boston, Philly, Chicago, Florida (just in time for Hurricane Andrew 🌪️🌩️🌧️) ...
But 'butts' (water or otherwise) weren't exactly the topic of conversation!! 🙉

Hi Tora,
A water Butt on this side of the pond is a receptacle for waste water, such as that draining off a roof. In days of yore, a wooden barrel was used, that's what my grandmother had, but these days a plastic creation, sort of oil drum shape, takes it's place. Hope that's clear.

OK, my excuse is from being across the pond, but what is a water butt? Aside from that it looks perfect!

Dimensions
Its a B&Q water butt which I had spare it holds 210 litres and measures 23" wide X 58" long 11" deep
The top is removable by the six eye bolts then the legs can fold and fit in the tank for storage, If I ever need to store it

Nicely made Mike.
Good use of cross halving joints on the frame 😀👍
All you need now is a loofah and a rubber duck 😆🦆

Excellent Mike, I've always got away with using the bath, but yours is a much better idea.

Test tank

Now there are a couple of issues to be sorted in terms of battery size, prop size, motor size in a couple of my models I need a method of testing any changes I make in an easy way other than a 2 hour trip to my clubs lake.
So I thought I’d make a test tank, (easy just cut a water butt in half and stick back together end to end) I’ll not go into the detail but its enough to say that 3 weeks later I have a test tank and the pictures should show the construction method.
