I seriously need to stop looking at FB Marketplace ads ....
But this one was only miles away from me, has never been in the water, and if I didn't buy it he was going to give it to his grandson to play with.
    I couldn't say no.

Hi our club has just been given one. It has the trigger type RC Tx. The mast and rigging are still done up with the nylon tie so possibly never been in the water.
I have had a preliminary look and found the rigging rotted so it will need replacing. Hope to demonstrate it at our club exhibition in September 2023.

Are the plugs and sockets used in the kit still available?

I have the same model. This is a crowd-pleaser wherever I go. To make it run better you need to add about 4 pounds of weight to bring it down to center of buoyancy. I used Walmart's 2 pound weights forward and Aft, Attached is a Picture in water June 7- Regards Don Toronto Canada

Hello Herman, Hello all other members
Wanted to actually on the sailing ship of my friends, they are still stuck in the Mediterranean. So I have reversed the vacation and have been on the road with my wife, the camper and two bikes. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
About the weather I'm not talking, we still had it really comfortable and seen a lot . . .
Now I'm back and from next week will be tinkering again. But first the tax return must go through the stage.
    Well what the heck!
    Hobby greetings
    Michel-C

I have one from at least 10yr ago. It's been in dry dock for 7yr pending a suitable body of water. Mine is on 75.630 MHz with a trigger throttle & a steering wheel. The driveshaft likely needs removal & greasing but access is extremely cramped so it's not getting done in any big hurry.

Lighting is via two AA drycells which last forever.

It's a real crowd pleaser as night falls upon us.

Six-cell NIMH, typical RC car pack with old style Tamiya connector. Lasts over an hour if you run it around at scale-like speed

I don't blame you - no offence to the grandson but this deserves to wet it's hull in some proper water. Plenty of scope for weathering and adding realism if thats what you want to do with it - or a great display model ๐Ÿ‘
