Aberdeen Model Boat Club
We sail on a Wednesday from 4pm till late and Sunday morning 9am till noon.
We are a friendly Club complete with clubhouse.
All types of vessels are welcome
Our season starts again from the 4th of March.
Club membership £20 per year and that includes free use of club boats along with storage
Car park and lay-by at our pond.

hermank yes been on here for quite some time however have been away for a while as health isn't the best at the moment. Still i'm eager to make the most out of this year and spend as much time either building, sailing or simply designing some new boats. I've taken on the role as our club secretary so its all go with some exciting events in the planning process along with a fresh restructure of the club 😊

The same happened to me. I have taken over the presidency of our 121 year old club as our president with his 83 years has some heart problems. It’s like running a company. Every single day you are occupied with it. Last year we organised an exhibition in a castle with our 3 divisions boats, big trains and lorries. It made me 20 years older😂.

Every single day you are occupied with it. Last year we organised an exhibition in a castle with our 3 divisions boats, big trains and lorries. It made me 20 years older😂.
hermank finally someone who will understand how my days go now 😆. Literally every moment of the day i'm working on something to do with the club. Though to be fair i wouldn't change it for anything. I'm in my element. We're introducing 2 new racing leagues this year and the boats i'm 3d printing. One is similar to the Club500 and the other is an airboat with rubber bumpers. I like the sound of the castle event! I'm organising something similar though at our local maritime museum. To try be more appealing to new members you wont even need a boat for the pond. Just join as a member and we will supply club boats to use so it keeps that initial cost a little less daunting for those new to this hobby. Were currently renovating the clubhouse and any time forgotten vessels i'm restoring and adding to the club boat list. Saying that i wouldn't mind them for myself though i'm currently standing at 35 in the fleet that's about to grow with the 3d print boats. Add the 16 planes and 11 helicopters and combine that into a small one bedroom flat and errr yeah it's interesting 😁. I've started putting shelf brackets all over the walls and filling that space now. I'll need to slyly start digging downwards into the earth's core in the future
