Hi Krampus, I visited a lovely lake some years ago in your area called 'Wolfgangsee' can you sail there?
regards, Peter😆
You're very lucky to have access to lakes such as those.
I wish we had some like that here in Cheshire. I could run my fast electric flat out. I have tried a couple of sailing clubs who use the Cheshire Meres but they don't cater for models.
Boaty😁

Sounds good to me 👍 Might just do that.
Signing off now, it's 2:15 here now. Spent half the night programming and testing a new RC set and various ESCs! All A OK 😊
Cheers and good night, Doug 😎
PS have fun in Ocean City, I assume boat eye candy is what I know as candy floss?

From here, in the warm but cloudy side, 28 or 29 C for tomorrow. This weekend I'm taking the family (they are here for my kid's school vacation) to the Maryland Eastern Shore (Ocean City, etc) so I bet it will be boat eye candy. Annapolis is near here as well. Super nice. if you visit Garmisch in October, take one of your boats and visit either the Badersee or closer to the Bowling alley you can take it to the pond I mentioned to you earlier (Loisachbad, by the playground). Their website is https://buergerservice.gapa.de/de/leben-in-garmisch-partenkirchen/sport/baeder/_vereine-und-einrichtungen_sportstaetten_baeder_freizeitpark-loisachbad They have a small snack shack with little chairs and tables, so you got the whole deal. You will love that pond and best of all, the water is clean enough to swim in case your boat goes adrift.

Welcome aboard! I have it all figured out for winter. Badersee in Grainau is the solution to all our pleas. Never freezes due to a thermal spring source. The only thing is that paint over wood may crack. That's why I switched to plastic hulls and decks a while ago. I have a project in mind and I will be seek your expertise😁

Hi Krampus 😉
Even an Admiral asks permission to board the Captain's ship!
Even if the 'Captain' is only a lieutenant jg!
Won't be much sailing though when you come back in December 😲
Maybe my hovercraft on the ice !? 😲
Cheers Doug 😎

Permission to come aboard Sir?
The lakes you mention I have all visited over the last 30 years based here in Munich 👍 A bit risky, and very deep!, for some of my more fragile vessels 🤔
Hope you don't mind warships!
Cheers Doug 😎

Ahoy! Talking about ponds in our particular region, we are very fortunate to have several areas fed with pristine Alpine mountain water sources and one in particular by an underground thermal source, so no freezing, etc, etc. And best of all, no friggin' bird poop nor underwater vegetation. Can't beat that. There is a nice park with its nice pond called "Loisachbad" just a few hundred meters from home which is my "official" homeport. However, during winter the place to go is the Badersee, that non-freezing pond I just mentioned. Other places to go about 20 minutes from here driving north towards Munich are the Kochelsee (near Murnau), Starnbergsee, and the Olympia Park, about 1 hour north from here in Munich. That one is nice but unfortunately the area is a minefield of bird poop. And the Plansee, a mega beautiful place about 30 minutes from here in the Austrian side. Cheers, b.
