We have now sorted the problem out and we are building a new, larger pool at Hooton Park which should be ready to sail in by May 1st. Future plans will be regular sailing days and invites to other clubs days to include tug towing competitions.

Our 2020 2 day model boat show at the hooton park trust site will be on the 16th ,& 17 may directions just off jn6 on the M53 ch651bq.
well our 2 day model boat show was a great success even if the weather was a bit iffy the model boat clubs turned to in droves traders did steady business our lake was full of boats for the 2 days rollon next yr thanks to hooton park trust forletting us hold the event

Hi, I just emailed the waterways museum regards this year's spring model boat show and before I book my flights to the UK. Their terse response was that they will not be hosting the show this year or for the foreseeable future. Do you know if it will go ahead this year, and if so when and where ?

I have enjoyed the show at Ellesmere for many years, last year it was evident that something was wrong with the cafe closed etc, hope to see you guys next year at your new home. Good luck with the new show

We formed in about 1989 as "The Boat Club" based at the Ellesmere Port Boat Museum. In the nineties we changed the name to the Ellesmere Port Model Boat Club. We meet and sail at the Museum but now have a pool at The Hooton Park Trust site. We are currently 30 members strong and have models of every type.
