the boat skin is double planked 7x2mm planks. length 35" width 10" as you can see I work in all sorts of measurement

I am building a runabout all wood construction do I need to F/Glass the hull or can I give the hull a couple of coats of varnish ?

Hi Doug 3.45 am to hot to sleep as you said I have the motors so will give it a go only half way through the build but will let you know when it takes off if you see a bright light in the sky it may be the boat

Hi Doug the motors (2no) are graupner 700 turbo the boat is about 3ft long not sure of the weight at a guess when finished 4\5 pounds ?

Amati Italian Runabout 1970 RC - I have been building models for years but this is my first attempt at RC. I was initially going to buy the RC kit from Amati but it is not available. I have purchased 2 motors and am now wondering what sort of prop shafts and what size propellers to use. The motors I bought are direct drive so there is no reduction gear.
