This Sea Queen is one that came my way this year, I have refurbished many parts and fitted the internal drive system, at the request of the owner who wanted a boat not fast but that would sail at reasonable speed for a longer duration.
Yet to be tested on the water. (Motor: Graupner 700) (ESC: Jeti water cooled) (9/10)

The usual rescue, revamped with various parts and full repaint.
Tested on lake with Nimh Batteries but they got very hot with only having 35 amp discharge, so modified with li-po 18.5 volt 3000 ma.
boat goes very well at and above scale speed.
The J P brushless outrunner is same as a 26cc Ic engine, with excellent turn of speed. (Motor: J P Outrunner) (ESC: Energy) (10/10)

Hi
Thanks for your interest,I have fitted two 850 motors and work on 14 cells just for short bursts, this has proved to be fine with my other boats.
Regards

HI just completed/refurbished an old and somewhat poor and sorry MFJ Fairey Fantome, complete stripdown repaint and new shafts/motors etc.
Now for some water trials to see what mods are required.

HI fellow model boat people, just a couple of photos showing a rescued aerokits sea queen circa late 50s.
This was in poor condition, work was started mid January to strip down the various parts that required to be remade, deck/superstructure/roof panels/windows etc.
The hull needed stripping back to give a good surface for the finished paint work.
Completion of the basic boat is now getting near, and ready for fitting out with motor radio etc.
Hope to give more details later.
Cheers for now.

Hi,
I thought that my recently finished MTB may be of interest.
It consists of 49" GRP hull ply deck / superstructure. The fittings are from a mixture of ABS and metal, to give a good surface for spray painted finish.
The drive consists of twin 850 motors and twin 50mm brass props, controlled by a JetI Navy 600 on 10 cells, this setup gives excellent scale planing, but with 14 cells the performance is outstanding. I use 4600 capacity and only select the top power run in short bursts, which gives me around 20 minutes duration on one charge.
radio is 2,4 ghz so no bother waiting for a free freq.
hope you enjoy
loz.
