Thanks for your suggestion. I looked at a video which demonstrates how Makehuman and Blender can be used to create a figure. Wow ! Quite incredible what can be done. I guess the finished 3D can be fed into a 3D printer, but I did not see this being done. Way above my abilities and experience so I will not pursue it, but thanks for the suggestion.

Yes I have looked at Macs Moulding. He does a small range of 1/12 figures.
But, no seated figure; ie someone who could be driving or steering a boat whilst seated,
and, no summer-time female figures, such as you would see on a leisure boat in summer wearing swimming costume or bikini !
Thanks for the reminder however.

The tools Makehuman and Blender make it possible and relatively easy to create figures you want. I was looking for a long time for figures for my J-Sailboat of the beginning of the 20th century, With those tools I can make them myself, dress them like the sailmen of those sailboats like the Endeavour and thanks to the skeleton funcion put the in the right position as needed.

These models look really good, but at £55 + each you need deep pockets !

Try Modelu3d.co.uk, I have just used them and very good, all different scales are produced.

1/12 figures are approx 6 inches tall. Look up 6 inch figures, I was able to find them easier that way. There are many available. Hope this helps, Dave🤞

I've been hunting for ages for a bridge crew at 1:24 for my Perkasa. Can't find anything in period or not stumpy. George Turner Models sold the marine side to Adrian's Marine Figures, this was then bought by Mountfleet. Deans Marine has some figures, not sure about 1:12.

Figures at 1/24 scale are easy to source on Ebay and from model boat suppliers, but 1/12 scale have become a rarity.
In addition to all the model boat suppliers that currently exist I have tried Ebay, AliExpress, Banggood and Wish. Spent hours looking with no worthwhile results, ie reasonable figures at a sensible price. There are a few figures available at prices from £50 and upwards, but these are too expensive.

Is it worth trying eBay? I bought some passengers for my Krick Felix.
They are horribly painted but once primed and repainted they are quite acceptable

Where have all the suppliers of scale figures gone ? Does anyone know of a source other than Mountfield Models ? I am trying to find 1/12 scale figures and although Mountfield have some, their range is very limited, especially for seated figures and females !
