"pictures of your Belfast on the water!"
Afraid that could take some time Bill🤔
She's still mothballed in my Reserve Fleet,
laid up in drydock and my workshop is still out of action😭
I'll bump her up the Reactivation List though.
Cheers, Doug😎

No problem Doug.
As I said the seller states he has had no problems re German customs, only Italian!
Perhaps you could post some pictures of your Belfast on the water!
Be good to see for comparison.

Many thanks for the info Bill👍
I just wonder what the German Customs / Finanzamt will want for the import!
Someone has to pay for all the tanks an' stuff they are sending to Ukraine🙄
Thanks for 'going the extra mile'.😀
Four quid for postage seems very reasonable.
I'll try a small trial order and see what happens.
Cheers, Doug 😎

Doug.
I have checked with the seller.
The only charge is a flat rate postage charge of £4.00.
No customs charge etc.
He posts to Germany a lot and has had NO custom/Brexit problems.
£4.00,bargain!

Afternoon All.

Doug,as promised,as you were looking to buy!

The bridge crew arrived this morning as purchased from EBay.
Well packaged and as you can see from the pictures each figure comes in it’s own protected cage for transit.
All were also well wrapped in bubble wrap.
Off to the garage now to dig out the six inch emulsion brush to start painting.
Will post a painted figure in due course.

1:150 Scale RN Crew.

Hi Bill,
1/150 is not a very commonly used scale.
1/144 IS however.😁
Check out some of the sources in the search link below.
I will be using 144 crew on my Belfast and, naturally😉, also on 1/144 Fletcher class.
The 1/144 Bismarck crew I shall Shanghai for my Graf Spee😉
Difference in height for 6 foot (72" = 1828.8mm) scale crewman is only 0.7mm, scarcely discernable.
1828.8/150=12.0mm
1828.8/144=12.7mm

Cheers, Doug😎

Hi Scratchbuilder, there is always a problem finding crew and the model railway scales offer the most as you have found out. A lot depends on how deep your pockets are as Shapeways will do anything you want...at a price that is.

Airfix (a Hornby company) do lots to 1:35 scale and it maybe you have to choose your model and scale with figures in mind.

I did a 1 ;43 model which needed cars and then I only wanted left hand drive ones but they are there, just needs a long look.

Sailing boats are even worse as you can find 1 : 20 scale figures but they are never the ones you want. My preference is for figures that come in bits i.e. arms legs heads etc. You can swap things around and chop to suit.
But 1 : 150 I would think much could be done with any uniformed figure and a suitable paint job. Not by me I might add if I dropped a guy at that scale I doubt I would find him again!

Good luck with the search and I am sure you will share your solutions.

Gents.
Assistance please.
I am looking for 1:150 scale RN deck figures/bridge crew etc.
Looking online the closest I can find are the equivalent to N gauge in the railway world.
I can find hundreds of various figures from various suppliers but very few in RN WW2/or 1950 era.
Beggars can’t be chooser’s I know but preferably uk based would be ideal because of postage and current customs issues.
Any thoughts or links would be gratefully received please.
Regards
Bill.
