Let us know if any progress is made with the repairs to the model boating lake at Crosby Kevin. I am a member of the Southport club and it would be nice to have other local waters available to sail on from time to time, and to support your local club if/when you are able to use the Coronation Park model boating lake again in the future.

There is a model boating lake at Coronation Park, Coronation Road, Great Crosby. Unfortunately the lake has been drained for several years by the local authority and requires maintenance. I, like others find this totally unacceptable for a historically important public amenity. There is an excellent lake up the road in Sou656thport situated on a road, Rotten Row, which the public have access to but is the sailing lake of Southport Model Boat Club. Take the A656 north out of Crosby and towards Southport and Formby. Enjoy your visit.
