Thanks guys for your advice. Looks like P38 then. Also does any one know of a person who buys vintage magazines, I have a 1967 copy of Radio Model and Electronics in fairly good condition.

I use a product called Dolphin Glaze, my local body shop put me onto it, its a bit on the expensive side

    Dolphin Glaze
The Dolphin Glaze is a fine finishing glaze designed to eliminate pinholes and surface imperfections prior to painting. Its self-levelling formulation gives a smooth, ultra-fine finish which requires minimal sanding.

It is a two-component chemical liquid used for the final skimming of a polyester body filler putty repair or direct application onto minor imperfections on bodywork before overpainting. Also ideal for skimming over finished body filler, it offers high adhesion to galvanized, zinc-coated steel, cured paint and most plastics.

Aluminium, galvanised and zinc-coated substrates degrease and abrade with P120 paper. Do not apply over etch primer. Original paint surfaces (except for thermoplastic acrylics) โ€“ degrease and abrade with P180 grit paper. GRP โ€“ degrease and abrade with P80 grit paper.
That's all right, Mr Ryan. My Morse is so rusty, I could be sending him dimensions on Playmate of the Month.

Bondo, despite the smell. DAP makes a very nice plastic wood these days. Micro-Balloons is the choice of the airplane crowd. And I will admit that drywall mud has helped me over the yearsโ€ฆbut coated with Z-Poxy. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Have found that the Techniq Platinum Light Filler is great to work with. Found that P38 is too heavy, the Light filler is a delight to sand.

I agree P38 is a modellers best friend, it is strong, easy to use, inexpensive and will disguise many errors created whilst doing the clever bits.
