I looked up on YouTube the answer to my question 🙋🏻♂️ what does the kit look like out of the box?
There is a 1/72nd kit by Airfix and some have converted it to RC but yours is not one of them.
What I discovered was that the box was almost empty! Only a molded hull and abs formed superstructure which requires the builder to mark and cut out hatches, windows and other details. Anyone taking on this task is in for a pile of work.
I know you inherited this model and stripped it down to create the finished product but even that takes patience, know how, and the ability to scratch build. It’s no wonder you are receiving many accolades and slaps on the back! Hats 🎩 Off to your excellent craftsmanship. I salute 🫡 you too.

Hi Roger a great result a testament to your building skills.
A subject close to my heart, I look in despair sometimes at the flood of 3D printed parts that take away the traditional skill of model making from raw materials its nice to see your efforts.

I think all you buy initially is the blank hull and have to construct the rest from drawings. This one myself I purchased made up but very basic, so stripped back to bare hull and started again, photos 1,2 are the original as bought model, photo 3 is as of today. 3/4/24. I have used some of the components again but a lot have been added after perusing photos and visiting the original in the museum luckily only 30 miles away. Thanks for everyone’s interest and comments
