That brings back some good memories.

I sold my detailed model of the MTB 379 to a chap in Australia, and believe it or not, it arrived safely and undamaged !

The model was highly detailed but everything (including the contents of the flag locker) made the journey safely.

MTB 379 is a really nice model to run and makes the white water that is so distinctive of its type.

    A very nice boat.

    Bob.

Lots of reference photos and more, plus my modelโ€™s details not seen unless you know what to look at up close.

The mast from the kit is used and is removable by sliding in and out of a brass tube.

I used jewelry making hooks available at Michaelโ€™s to form attachment locations for aerials and hand lines.

Using elastic thread for antenna wires and hand lines are easy to use.

Replaced the fore and aft standards with brass tube makes for easy repair from those mishaps on the pond by other boaters.

I used a small Battery that snugs up above the stuffing box and is held in place with a velcro strap hidden in the ventilation shaft.

The single brushed motor is just fine for this model as it patrols the waterways and allows it to move out when required.

The battery is a NiMH 1200 7.2 volt

See the details in the lower wheelhouse which houses the receiver, detailing was fun to make though it is not visible until you remove the cover.
