She rides well Rogal, looks good👍Great build. Hat off😉
At that speed she'd sure keep the gunners on their toes!😮💥💥💥 💥💥💥 💥💥💥
(If the target doesn't collapse first🤔)
😎
Young at heart 😉 Slightly older in other places.😊 Cheers Doug

Thankyou everyone for your interest, it really makes it all worthwhile when you guys stop and take a look, especially when I see and aspire to the fantastic work that you all actually produce. He are some closer photos of the 2755, thanks once again.

Rog
You have an excellent model here with superb details at every angle of the camera one can see your attention to detail. Is the tarpaulin to help provide shade? Show of your research material for adding these details? Or the links. It is nice to do some variation of a model that one might not see on a regular basis.

That’s a great point you have raised there Roland.yes the tarpaulin is to aid in shading, as can be seen in the first photo of the original, even at speed it is deployed. Also something I had not thought about, the research can be as important to share with fellow modellers. I use the photos to fine tune detailing, I do not strive for a pure scale model, I am not good enough for that, I go for my best interpretation. I do tend to beat myself up sometimes, and remake parts a couple of times when not happy. But as has been said many times on this forum,” it’s your model, your interpretation” so here are a few of the photos-drawings that inspired me during the build.

Hi Rogan I don't agree with you! Your detailing is superb and every part of it is a separate model. Looks good running as well.

Great job,
Roy

You've posted some very nice and interesting photos and drawings, Rogal.
I'd like to know how many volts and, more importantly, how many Ah that black battery you see in your message number 7 has.
Could you also tell me something about the motors? If you know and remember the code, I'll look for information online, or about maximum operating voltage, stall current, operating current, etc. etc.

Good evening AlessandroSPQR the black battery was for test purposes only, while I waited for the spectrum 5000m/ah 7.4 v, lipo 2s to arrive. The motors I believe are as photo spec hope the info helps. I sometimes use my other battery, same make but 2200m/ah, 11.6 v,lipo 3.look forward to your thoughts.

Thanks for the thorough reply, Rogal.
You've found an excellent combination, considering the sailing performance; it glides very well on the water.
It's a great example to follow.
At this point, I'd also like to ask (sorry if you've already written this and I missed it) the diameter of the propeller, how many blades it has, and the overall weight of the model.

RTTL2755 having a run out

Hi there, not trying to deviate too much, however, the aforesaid motors, I believe are a stock motor from China. They are manufactured and sometimes come into the modelling stream under the name of Mabuchi and Companies buy them in and rebrand them under the Companies name who have bought them. I say this because I have some MFA motors which are identical to the one in this listing and also the ones in my Launch come from MTroniks and they are branded as Vision 600s or something like that. MTroniks seem to have the same specs. I run mine on 2 x 500 amp 7.2 volt NiCads. There is obviously a bit more weight in the Launch which I built - that is because there is a sound module an amplifier and speaker; plus there is one of the very first ACTion twin speed controllers and mixer. I will put some photographs on of the layout to give you some idea. The first photograph is the rear bay of the craft which houses the speed controller, sound module and 6 channel receiver. The 2nd photograph shows the installation of the motors. The 3rd pic shows the amplifier and the speaker and this is in the forward compartment of the boat and also there are the battery trays for the 2 NiCads and there is a 9 volt stick batter which sits between the battery trays, which supplies the power for the sound system and amplifier. I still get about 30 minutes run at a good turn of speed.

The propellers on my model are 30 mm brass x 3 blades and they both turn in the same direction as in the real launch.

Hi John, those are very interesting and informative features.
Does your speedboat also glide (lifting at least half its hull) well on the water, like Rogal's?
Perhaps his is lighter, though.
And how much does your model weigh exactly?

RTTL2755 having a run out

Good afternoon AlessandroSPQR the craft has twin opposite rotating 25mm props with 3 blades and has a total weight of 3.2 kg. See photo. One other point the hull is actually a hull I built for the Brave Borderer and put to one side in favour of a commercial glass fibre hull for the Brave. Then on receiving the plans for the 2755 I superimposed the pre made hull on the plans, the size and profile matched within 3mm in beam but was I recall to long by 125 mm at the stern.this was too near to pass up, so I just cut the stern down and fitted a new transom. I now had a pre made hull that needed a deck etc fitted. So using the Braves hull has probably helped with the planing. It is after all a proven pedigree design!.but the Brave is another discussion I’d like to have with you guys at a later date, I have power problems??.

RTTL2755 having a run out

Thanks for your information and your time, Rogal.
I'm no expert on high-speed models, but if I were to build one (I have one to restore in the future, but at my speed, it'll take forever), my goal would be to convert it from displacement to planing, lifting it off the water and exceeding the critical speed.
You've done it admirably; there's nothing to say, only learning from you, John, and the other talented people like you.
Still looking to the future, on this splendid speedboat I have, I should first replace the electric motor with a much more powerful one, also adjusting the propeller.
The problem is that there aren't any adequate openings, and I'd have to cut the deck.
I'll think about it someday, but right now I don't want to distract attention from your model.

You're right, John, it navigates perfectly, and you made a very impressive video (too bad it's so short). How much does your RC model weigh?
