I’d probably lean toward a marine adhesive/sealant rather than a general-purpose glue.
I’ve had good results with Sikaflex 291 and 3M 4200 for bonding wood to fiberglass.
They remain slightly flexible, have excellent water resistance, and are commonly used in boat construction.

Just be sure to roughen the fiberglass with sandpaper and clean both surfaces with acetone or isopropyl alcohol before bonding.

That surface preparation often makes the biggest difference.

UHU glue can be effective. Clamp it for at least 24 hours. Stuff like no more nails or similar is not much good as it needs a porous surface to grab hold of.

Glue

Hi all,
I need to install a deck beam ledge around the inside of a sailing vessel hull made of fibreglass. I know I can use a two part epoxy but does anyone know of a single part adhesive that will do the job? It would need to be quite water resistant but not submersible.
