    Hi Peter,
The hull is from some sort of cheap kit of a fast attack craft, but I want to make something different using the hull.
If it looks right it probably is.

Your hull Martin, looks very much like an MTB, with the deep flare in the hull and a flat transom.😐

    cheers Peter

    Thank you Nerys,
I am just kicking around ideas of what I can convert this hull into.

A hull of that shape would not be suitable for conversion to a stern trawler. That is virtually a planing hull whereas a trawler, stern, beam or anything else needs a heavy displacement type hull. In other words, a lot of boat under the waterline.

    Cheers,
    Nerys

When the winds before the rain, soon you may make sail again, but when the rain's before the wind, tops'l sheets and halyards mind

Think they would be too lightly built Martin - trawlers tend to be a tougher hull - but seeing the hull stretched out like that - maybe a Liverpool type might be a better bet.
Saw a rescue boat ex SAN driven ashore at Cape Point (German built - double planked mahogany) - ended up 300 yards from the sea because of a spring tide and it hit the mouth of a small stream. Bottom smashed to bits in places - trawler could have just been hauled off with very little damage. A friend tried to salvage her and had started on it when Cape Parks cut her up with chainsaws. He rightly called them vandals...........

    Hi Guys,
Were any of these hulls ever converted in to sturn trawlers after the war. ?

Saw your post re Liverpool Lifeboat etc Martin - the Brede would suit the hull well - if you look at it closely - same superstructure as the Liverpool - simply shorter . With your skills should be easy enough to modify the plan. Lots of pics on the internet and I have some rough drawing things that came with the semi kit . PM me if you want pics and whatever else I have.

Looking at the Hull that I have got I thought I would be limited to what I could make from it but obviously not.
