A Mustang and a Lightning, interesting TV programme on Lightnings a day or two ago. I even remember making models of them both.
Thank you for those kind words too, though I have to admit I'm somewhat fragile these days. I find walking difficult too and that's around the house. It's wheelchair elsewhere. I think it's mainly the dialysis taking it out of me more than anything else. Sometimes I feel rough for hours afterwards. The frustration of Lockdown isn't helping, the main thing is we are not allowed to travel anywhere, that's my main beef. I can easily cope with everything else. Anyway, I'll keep going and thank any deity you like to mention that I still have a good selection of marbles.

    Best regards, Nerys

"Isn't it sad? or marvellous, to think that I can remember all these coming out during the war."
Sad? Not in the slightest Nerys. I think it's bloody marvellousπŸ˜€

Yes Doug, that's my era too. I haven't been able to appreciate so called music since then either. Though I must admit I have a liking for East European Folk music and dancing' Thanks for telling me about 'The Miller Band'

    Cheers, Nerys

You are digging them out Doug, I think 'String of Pearls' and 'American Patrol' are probably my favourites. Isn't it sad? or marvellous, to think that I can remember all these coming out during the war.

Doug, 'Thank you for the music'.
A lady I knew, now deceased, was at Glenn Miller's final performance in the UK at the Bedford Corn Exchange the night before his fateful flight.

    Cheers, Nerys

Somewhere (πŸ™„) in my archive I have the so called 'Secret Broadcasts' of the Glenn Miller Army Band from London to Europe in 1944, just before he vanished over the channel while flying to France.☹️ Apparently Alan Dell (remember him?) found the original masters in South Africa!
Might be on an old PC hard drive. I'll try to dig it out for you.
