BTW folks I have been in contact with Colin Smith and he has been super helpful. As they say.... "Couldn't do it without him."

As of now, I have an idea of where to go to get the built one re-energised. Thanks. The part built one looks like a major project that I may never find time to do. I know I am only 71 but who knows how long we have.

Hello, when I moved into my new house in January 2020 I found some model boats in the loft. I managed to sell two but I have kept the other two as I think the are the same. One is a large FPB - looks like a Vosper Thorneycroft - and is fully built and working albeit it is a in grubby and a bit battered state. I have tested the motor and it turns the prop but there is no transmitter. I know nothing about model boats but fancy trying to get this working with some modern RC equipment. The other one is a part built Veron Vosper Thornycroft 52" FPB. At the moment, the hull has been built mostly but not much else. The rest of the wood is in the box so I think it is all there. The problem is the build plans are decimated and half of them not there so I have no idea how to progress the build. The bit of the plans I can read says that the plastic bits can be bought separately and looking at the built FPB there is a lot of plastic including some of the superstructure. There is also no motor propeller and other hardware in the box. I am currently completely renovating and refurbishing the house so the boat building has to be put aside for the next year or so. But, I am keen to get as much information together in advance. So I need the build plans for one and knowledge of all the hardware required included transmitter for the part built one. For the built one I need to know apart from a transmitter what other hardware I would need to link up with the Futaba stuff currently inside the hull. Any help would be appreciated. Thanksโน๏ธ
