I used the netting that some fruit is wrapped in. Or electicated bandage opened out and sprayed. This what I used on my other crash tender and looks realistic.

I don't know where abouts you are located, have you tried to phone them? I spoke to Geoff this morning on the phone with no problem. Martin Shanks is the owner and Geoff usually answers the phone. They are open from 9.30am till 16.30.

    regards Peter.

Westbourne models is open to the public with all the products on display as before. The new place is opposite to the old shop but on two floors. I have never had any problems when dealing with Westbourne Models. I just find it a long way to go when I want parts.

I have used Westbourne Models for a while and have had no trouble with them. They have recently relocated to a new building across the road from their old shop. had a few problems with the telephone lines so communications were bad. I do shop there as its the nearest model shop that deals with boats to me, even though its takes one and half hours to get there.

πŸ“ Sea Queen 48" Cabin Cruiser

I built this sea Queen ,aka Blue Streak, from a Jotika kit. But found the motor did not give the performance I expected. So the motor was replaced with an Overland T4250 Brushless motor with Fusion Hawk 60amp ESC fed by an Overland 14.8 4s 4000Ma Lipo battery. The performance is greatly enhanced, Boat is finished in white with blue cabin tops and a large blue streak down each side. And shows the Australian flag.

The Speedline CR1700 is powered but a 1700kv outrunner brushless motor fed from Lipo 3cell battery and a Fusion Hawk 50amp ESC. additional buoyancy was fitted in case of accidents. With that set up the performance is terrific and very stable

The picture shows a Speedline CR1700 model that is supplied with a brushless motor and all the required parts except the battery and radio. I have built one and it performs exceptionally well. The kit costs Β£99 from Speedline models

HI there. reference to window frames for fire boats, I have build 48' and 36" models and have had the frames cut in an aluminium effect self adhesive material by Yatton Model Engineering in Somerset. They will include the glazing if required. regards Peter.

    πŸ“ INTERNATIONAL MODEL BOAT SHOW

I attended on Sunday 9th November, it was the third time I have been. Fewer people this year, and the layout was the same as previous year. I think the organisers should re arrange the layout to give it more of a variety. You notice the same stands and people in the same positions every year. This was the last time I shall be visiting any of the shows.
