Looks lovely and sails well,as you say yourself she is sitting a little low in the water. If the excess weight turns out to be a problem i suggest you contact Alan at J Class hulls, he is one of the most helpful people I have ever met and as the designer of the Nottingham 60 if there is a way to remove some weight he will know.If it can't be done just enjoy your beautiful yacht.

Riverside models kits came with a glass fibre hull and basic drawings and instructions, along with slightly oversized laser cut sheets.I was lucky enough to acquire a hull and was able to download drawings and instructions back in 2005,from these i was able to make my own plywood pieces and eventually a passable narrow boat, completed during lockdown.

Hi Ron yes the top Sail is removable,it will be a while before I can try her on the water as running rigging is in need of some modification and a sail winch or maybe two need fitting. It looks to me as if it was never completed and has never been sailed

    Hi Nerys
Thank you for your concern over my lack of sailing waters.I did not make my point clearly,we do have two lakes we can sail on but what with lockdowns ,social distancing, and now pond weed and blue/green alge, plus ongoing problems with access(local council related). All these things are ultimately resolveable and I am sure i will be back sailing soon.
    Chris

    Hi Nerys
It was nice to see your photos of sailing on Eaton park yacht pond. Here are some photos of my yacht Sophie taken in 2006 on the same pond.I no longer live in Norwich and miss sailing in such a nice place .I now live i Nottingham where we have two local sailing waters are both problematical to use at present. Thus not been able sail for last 18 months.
    Happy traveling and sailing.
    Chris.

This is my recently acquired yacht, the previous owner knows nothing about it.Any help in identifying it would be welcome it measures 1225mm X245mm.Mast height 1920mm.Total height 2340mm.The electrics have not been tested yet as old batteries were still in place and have leaked all over the place .Sail control appears to be via a winch ,micro switches, and diodes.(A standard sailwinch may be a better option as electrics aren't my strengh). The sail has a M on it but the hull appears not to be a marbelhead?
    Any help much appreciated Chris.

I am the proud owner of a River Lady class yacht (Sail No21),purchased as a semi kit from MYD in July 2004.I only know of two others, but there must be more !! .In 2007 I read an article by a chap called Chris Chambers in Marine Modelling International magazine. In it he told of a person in South Africa buying the prototype and myself owning my model called Sophie ,I can only assume he got this information from MYD.The last time saw anything in print about MUD was in November 2011.This was on model Boat mayhem forum .
