I bought a pack of 100 of those spouts, they work fantastically and prevent the cyno from drying out

Hi Jump,

These little "push-on" spouts make it easy to control even the very thinest super-glues.

The second picture shows how much I cut off of mine to get the best control and accurate flow rate when using the thinnest glues.

I warm the end that pushes onto the glue bottle to soften it enough to push over the glue bottle's regular spout. This gives it a good tight leak-free fit.

After use, I remove these extension spouts and place them upright onto a piece of scrap card underneath it so that the unused glue runs down onto the card and effectively drains it so that it can be use several times over.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I have used Bob's CA before, and I think I will use it

To follow up…I like Bob’s success with the thin CA. I just think the is that as I’ve gotten older I just can’t seem to control it quite as well as I used to. hence my issues with it.

I do recommend test strips with what scrap stock you have and give it a go.

I used thin super-glue when I planked my Swordsman and the small cockpit floor of my Sea Commander and it worked very well.

The thin glue wicked its way between the underside of the planks and the plywood surface that I was gluing it onto, as well as "creeping" nicely between the edges of each adjoining planks.

Is the glue Stabilit Express? I have used it, a good gap filling adhesive bonds in 15 minutes and stronger than surrounding materials. Works well, wood to plastic.
Quite dear, needs mixing and applied very quickly!!

I have a glue from Germany that shoujd work better. CA to plastic can have problems used over a wide area. A contact type cement works too. I’ll have to dig the tube from Germany out. CA is ok on wood to wood or anchoring small plastic parts. If using CA n quick freeze on large area plastic it can heat n warp or distort it. Also the plastic like a sub deck rough it up with sandpaper too.

I would go for thick CA on a wooden deck mate, i used it on my Trawler build with no probs!👍 good luck😊

I am going to plank a deck. The wood is teak. The hull where the deck is to be attached is made of plastic. The instructions specify CA but not the viscosity. What should I use, i.e., thin or a thicker variety?
