This boat was recently purchased on-line from the grandson of the 1:1 boat in the photos. He built the boat from old photos and his memory. This is truly a "pond yacht" as the is no access to below deck for any radio control equipment. The plan is to keep the boat as shown but to up up grade the deck hardware and aft deck details. It is powered by a small electric motor running on one "C" cell battery. Since the first posting testing has shown the single "C" cell didn't have enough power to turn the prop while in the water. Experiments with other batteries has shown a combination of two 3.7v Li-po batteries in parallel should give up to one hour run time. in the interim I've added a few more photos of the update to the trim. You'll notice the companionway now has a door and hatchway. Unfortunately it blocks the view of the detailed interior the builder made. There are some additional items that have been added since these photos were taken including more detail to the control panel and a steaming light and stern light. I'm undecided about adding a small boat to the cabin top as a lifeboat/dingy. Time will tell...

Masquerade is a Dean's Marine OΓΉlton Lady somewhat 'Americanized" (sorry) with the inclusion of a bow seat. Many of the deck fittings were plated "in-house" with a Caswell brass plating kit. The lighting is all LED with the exception of the searchlight. The second deck was fabricated from doll house flooring as is the helm seat. More photos will follow. There is a company here in the US that is processing scrap tires into gardening muluch. They remove the stainless steel wire from the belts and then chip the rubber and dye it dark brown. It's rather expensive compared to wood chips (4Γ—) but doesn't float away in the rain nor will it host any fungus. We put it down on our patio flower beds 15 years ago and only touch it up every couple of years. It' available at Lowe's here in the US. Ask your local "big box" home improvement store if they can get it.

This is a 1984 re-issue of a Lindberg Chris Craft Sport fishermen purchased used on Ebay. Some of the parts where broken and some partially assembled. The model did come with 2 MACK RC motors and some fabricated wood parts, including a template for the aft deck. The interior was assembled from quarter scale doll house items except for the dinette. There are 4 underwater LED bulbs with a dedicated power supply. The running, interior and radar unit are powered by a separate systems from the hull electrics. The second Li-po battery is for backup and balast. There are number of additional items added since these photos were taken including a stern seat and larger radar array .

I recently purchased a Billings Sea King on Ebay. Not certain if I'm going to build it or not. Frankly my workshop doesn't have room for a scroll saw. This kit doesn't contain die-cut parts so a power scroll saw is a given. if I decide to sell it I'll post details. Happy New Year.
