I have just got to put motors and radio gear in and it will be finished,I am taking it to Warwick 11-12-13 Nov,so people can come and have a look,it's not a museum peice, but I will bring my tablet with me to show what it was like when I first got it and you can see what I've done.

What brushless motors you using,and how long running time as I'm very tempted to put them in the monster Mersey after the trials with brushed motors,because at 78" long & 90 mm props it might be costly

Not known when I got it she was a wreck,and I am still refurbishing her,I was told that it was in a garden for over 4 1/2 yrs uncovered in Scotland so I set about bringing her back to near on original state she was first in

Put it on display,before I finish off the refurbishment work,still lots of fiddly things to do,but should be ready for the water at nov/dec,good comments all round from the Coxswain/crew & the mayor of Skegness, so now back to the drawing board to get her finished

Now that I done skegness lifeboat day I can get on to finish what needs to be done & hopefully before Xmas I can have her on the water,the crew at skegness loved the model as a whole and even the mayor of skegness liked it,but now time to get down to the nitty gritty and get her ready for the water.

The original builder put all interior in as per the real boat,but lots of it was broken off and just lying around so I repaired what needed doing then put it back to where it was supposed to go,I was very lucky that I know the original builder and he sent me the photo build of the boat,talus & carraige

It will require two people (not a problem thou) and as for handling it's not a problem either one at front and one to lift the rear between the two tunnels but will let you know when I take it down the lake.

Well at last,at least now the MONSTER MERSEY is finished apart from radio gear,it has been a bit of a challenge but worth it in the end,the last picture is the coxswain(ray chapman) not happy with seagull on his boat lol,when I have radio gear etc I will put it on the water and take photos,but in the meanwhile better find the wife and take her to lunch,hope you enjoyed the refurbishment,now to look at another lifeboat for a winter project

Lifeboat day at King Lear did not happen as carriage broke that holds the boat (my fault for not checking properly)the Monster Mersey will be on display at the Newark show,then I will make arrangements to sail her at King lear

It is gradually coming together,I am not perfect but I am putting it back to what it should be,the railings need painting (easy job),props need putting back on then once the carriage has been welded I will put superstructure on then all that will be required is put radio gear in,the two flags are huge and done by my friend mike also they are not printed but hand painted on silk,he does all flags from 1.96 to 1.6 scale weather there for a lifeboat,tug,yacht,warship,fishing boat etc etc(Scale flags & ensigns 01476 573331 Mike)

Both the t-peices were copper, soldered onto steel,but most probably after being left in a garden for nearly 5 years what do you expect,but hey Ho onwards & upwards trailer will be fixed ASAP

Not been a good day,was just finishing off boat ,put boat on carriage and both wheels buckled and broke,so it's a welding job, not happy as I was hoping to take it to king Lear tomorrow,but will now have to wait a little longer before it will go on water,but I will not be beaten,so I will take talus tractor and maybe someone might take interest,so will down load photos of boat in a day or so
