With reference to the problem I had with my Action Electronics P94.
I have now received my P94 and wired up in my tugboat.
    Everything working perfectly.
My thanks to Component Shop for their assistance.

Component Shop took over the rights to Action Electronics from David Milbourn.

I would keep trying to get an answer from them. The squeaky wheel...
I have used their units in many of my builds and have only had one issue in any of the units.

I have finished my Al Khubar 2 harbour tug build and am now fitting the electrics.I decided purchase a P94 unit from Component Shop.
This was just over 12 months ago.
Unfortunately my build was put on hold due to health problems.
    Recently I finished the build.
I fitted the P94 as per the instructions but the P94 failed to fully function. I contacted Component Shop and sent the unit back to them.
They have had the unit for over a month and apart from me phoning them and emailing them I have had no response from them.
Have any of you guys had experience with the Action Electronics P94 or with Component Shop.
The unit was ยฃ75 and as far as I am concerned a waste of money and I would have been better fitting 2 Escโ€™s.
    Cheers Guys.

I am not entirely sure, but I thought Action Electronics (Action R/C Electronics Ltd) went into voluntary liquidation in 2013. Some time ago I tried to get a schematic for one of the early speed controllers but had no luck. Maybe the Component Shop bought the rights to the designs. Or I am talking about a different company.

Iโ€™ve used Component Shop for many years but on this occasion I am very disappointed with their service.
For those who are not familiar with Action Electronics P94 it is a dual Electronic Speed Controller and Mixer module.

    Hi Guys,
I have installed the name Al Khubar 2 in all the required positions.
With the decals there is also a decal with the name Sharjah but I donโ€™t know where this should go on the Tug. Anyone know where this decal is supposed to go?

    Hi RB,
Sharjah is indeed the name of the Home Port.
It is on the coast of UAE (United Arab Emirates) just NE of Dubai.
The decal should go on the stern just below the ship's name.
Al Khubar is the romanised version of Khobar, a city on the east coast of Saudi Arabia in the Persian Gulf NW of Qatar.
    Cheers, Doug๐Ÿ˜Ž

    Hi
If you only have one decal of "Sharjah" could it be the port that Al Khubar was based at? if so then it would go at the stern of the boat.

    Tugboat lighting.
    "Vessels Towing
If the length of tow is less than 200m the towing vessel shows two all round white lights or a diamond shape and a yellow stern light.
The vessel being towed shows their normal lights.
If the length of tow exceeds 200m, then they display three all round white lights."

When running in addition to Port Stbd nav lights a white stern light will be shown.
At anchor a white all round (360ยฐ) mast head light shall be shown.

    Hi Guys,
I am trying to source a dark green paint for the deck of my Al Khubar 2 tug. At the stage I am at the moment spraying is not an option therefore it will have to be tin and a brush. Any advice would be appreciated. I am located in the UK so this should be a consideration.
    Thank you. Rockbag

Hi Rockbag, I have started using acrylic paints from my local hobby store something like this, it has tested well in the water so far but needs to be thinned with water before use.

    Hi Rockbag
You could try your local car paint supplier, I would say that most industrial plant that is green is Brunswick Green, this may be just to dark for what you are looking for.
I have in the past used Express paints of Portsmouth.
