So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

Finally, after almost two months of working with a city official, we have a new site for SSMBC meets!
I took many emails, submitting information, photos (including a photo of a park sign noting model boats from "DWBrinkman"), etc. to get this done.- Thanks Dave B. for the photo!
We now can meet at Freedom Lake Park in Pinellas Park, Florida, USA. The park is smaller, the parking, pavilion, lake, launching dock, and restrooms are right next to each other. The pond, actually a lake, is about five times the size of our previous location.
We had our first meet there last Sunday (July 2), a small group of us tested it out and really enjoyed the spot. Now to get the word out to others.
You might recall our discussion about the "weed" problems. Our previous location has improved but still not to the point where we could safely operate model boats.
I created a 3 minute video of this new location if anyone is interested. Not much on the boats, mainly a focus on what the new location for meets looks like.
