Congratulations on the promotion!
I hope it comes with a pay bump, LOL

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

Copy that Lieutenant, sorry amendment made.
Can understand, only my mother calls me Douglas.
The last syllable seemed to last hours when she was yelling up the stairs to get me up, or to come and do something! Douglaaaaaaaaaas 🤔
Cheers, Doug😎

Is that a caravan frame it's sitting on Colin? Is a new trailer part of the plan, and will the boat be brushed or brushless powered 😁?

Colin, Sorry to hear that you are having to see a spinal surgeon for a scan, hope it won't entail anything more serious. After hospital experience earlier this week, I hate the sight of them even more than I did. Reminders of the inevitable are not pleasant experiences I found.

Yes, will be nice to see your broad pennant being flown on that boat Colin. Best of luck with the supervision of her restoration. Hope you have a good holiday with some decent fishing, whether boat or beach. We are planning a few days in the Lake District in August.
All, the best,

No worries shipmate, I'm good at supervision, 25 years, engineering foreman and works manager till medical retirement in 2005.
So I can keep him doing a good job. I suppose it's the bank of dad that will be paying for it, so he better get it right.
Cheers Colin.

Looks like a project Colin, just make sure he does most of the work, not too good for the back bending sideways with a sander. Had my back done about 5yrs ago, but still have to be careful. Dud backs can be a pain in every way.

Congrats on the promotion Colin. You've been on the site a fair while now so it's about time. I joined not long after you, but in the changeover from the Fireboats site, my membership along with my password vanished, and I didn't rejoin properly until a few years ago. There have been a few changes on the site since then.

I think you were the first to comment on my old MTB way back then. That and the Maiami were way back on page 98 , so there have been a fair few postings since then ! You are entitled to an extra ration of rum now with your new position😁👍👍 (medicinal or otherwise)😁

Thanks for the message Nerys, I hope you are better now.
My son thought that now I'm an admiral i should get back to sea so has purchased a 14ft boat in need of TLC.
I will have to supervise his work as I'm still not able to do much .
Needs a good rub down and a fresh gel coat.
While I'm waiting for my spinal surgeon to get back to me with a date for a full body MRI the family are taking us on holiday to Llanrhystud the last week of July.
If I can hold a rod I'll be either bass fishing from the beach or mackerel on a boat.
Cheers and best wishes Colin

Apologies for not offering my congratulations earlier, Colin, but an unexpected stay in hospital, took me away from the real world for a couple of days.
Many congrats and good wishes,

Credit where credit's due Colin👍
Ref the back: Know the feeling🤔
I live with a weak point after an injury 40 years ago so have to watch it.
Tip: Lie flat on the floor, face down, and get Caroline to walk slowly up and down your spine, massaging with her toes Geisha fashion (Kimono optional)😉

BTW: some time ago you asked if I had done anything with KGV.
Then I got embrangled in water leaks and bathroom repairs and renovations☹️
So; as you know I did a payload test, ca 900g. Then I sorted four suitable motors, did some balancing checks on the collection you sent me.
Got some Mtroniks Viper Marine 10 ESCs and started pondering the control system;
independent pairs, coupling to rudder control etc.
Meanwhile had acquired a wooden deck and some photo etch.
Then life got in the way, as it does🤔
Currently the workshop is jammed up with 'stuff' that belongs in other rooms while I renovate.
Seems somehow to go much slower than when I restored my 1860 cottage while I was still in UK - 37 years ago. Tempus fugit😮
All the best to 'The 2 Cs',
Doug 😎

Thanks for the congrats Doug, I may have problems with the extra braid as my back problem persists. Now back to where I was 5 years ago, so ranking is a bit like snakes and ladders.
