Scamp,
I am glad Jake put a smile on your face.
We all need to be cheered up from time to time.

Thanks again Guys.

Hi Guys,
Thank you for the very nice comments.
I was really surprised.

It was hard work as the wood used is Oak.
As you know i have really been struggling to get motivated on my model making so I thought i would try and do something different just for a change.
I only started Whittling a few months ago and i have quite enjoyed it.
Having said that i have binned more than i have made, but i am slowly getting a bit better so i think i will have another go.

Rick.
RE :- Is he fashioned after anybody you know.
No he is just what i ended up with.
I get an idea in my head to start with then the wood seems to want to do it's own thing.

Mike.
RE :- Now we know what you really look like.
It is not true, the only thing Jake and I have in common is we both have wooden brains.LOL!!!

Colin.
My wife is the one that can make something out of nothing LOL!!!!
I am glad you like Jake.

Doug.
My father in law has a lot of firewood logs, so there might be some of Jakes friends coming along soon. LOL!!

I do however feel a little guilty for posting Jake on this site as it is for Boats/Ships and nautical vessels.

I'll second that Colin👍
Martin's great figure looks to me like a cross between Lucky Luke and Doc Holliday😀
Don't think the Doc would have lassoed his own hat though - but Luke might 'ave😁
Cheers, Doug 😎

If only we could all have your talent to turn nothing into great models and humour.
Well done sir, I hope you can keep us all entertained for years to come.
Cheers Colin.

Brilliant Martin, another piece of art, as I said before, it takes a clever bugger to get an expression on a painting or piece of sculpture.

Hi Guys,

Just for fun.

Altho this has nothing to do with boats or ships i thought in these days of lockdowns and restrictions it might put a smile on a few faces.

As you may know for the last couple of months i have been swinging a knife about and trying my hand at whittling.

The photo of the lumps of firewood is how he started out.
