A Graupner kit built some years ago, was given to me 2013 and I have refurbished the boat to get it sailing again! it has a Mono- perm motor and I have fitted 10 amp Mtronics speed controller and running on 8x AA 1600m/a Nicd batteries wired in parallel.

I built an Elke in January 1974 for my son. We sailed it together for a couple of years and then he lost interest (girls!) it spent the next forty five years in my loft (The model - not my son) until l resurected it a few years ago and, after a bit of a dusting and a spot of glue, relaunched it. it still had the original McGregor Digimax radio and speed controller fitted which, after renewing the batteries in both the receiver and tranny, still works a treat. I've since added a crew and some other refinements and it's often included in our Club displays. Hope you get as much enjoyment from your model as we have.

Mobil Marine fibre glass hull, 545 motor, 6 volt 4 amp GelCel battery. I believe it is Gaff Rigged Cutter. That is all I know about this boat as I bought it second hand in 2013

E' Lance

Built from a Traplet plan 2012, all wood construction with plank- on-frame hull. 385 direct drive motor with 3 blade prop, Mtronics 10amp speed controller and 8x AA 1600m/a batteries wired in parallel.

Built from a Traplet plan in 2013. All wood construction, JP 400 direct drive motor with 2 blade prop. 2x 3.7amp 7.2 volt NiMhd batteries wire in parallel and a Mtronics marine 15amp speed controller.

Sea Queen

this model was made from a set of mouldings purchased from the internet, they were for a 1944 Birch class empire tug, the one I chose to make was the Empire Walter, later re named Sea Queen and she worked in the Bristol and Avon area.

I am restoring a tug that is named "Avon Queen" she is a Birch class Empire tug.I have looked for her history, but only came up with Sea Queen. I wondered if you knew if there was an Avon Queen and what her empire name was. The model I have originally had a live steam engine in it, taken out before I bought it. She is 1.6m (5'3") long 1/20th scale.

This tug was made from a Tito NerI tug kit and modified to make it look more like one of the local tugs near my home, she is fitted with two azimuthing propellor units driven by 900 size motors and a bow thruster unit

Here are some pictures of my new tug boat under construction. it is almost finished. I made some changes to make the tug look like a Turkish tug around 1930's. Her Turkish name is Kalender. Original kit is 1/30 scale Panart Anteo model, 890 mm long.
