Nice model lots of ballast, batteries, MARX Hectoperm motor for huge power reserve. Running on electric but Cheddar Proteus steam plant also fits in instead with ABC boiler control. plan for the future to try this never run not even on air yet!

Model is 33in inches long and beam 9 inches, height is 24 inches.
ABS hull model weighs 14 pounds. Power is 6 volt electric motor and 6 volt 3000 mah battery.

Built originally in 1973 from a modav kit and powered by an Enya 35bbiii. Now running a 3548 brushless motor and 5800 3 cell lipo. Model in video was running an x35 prop with /- 20 degrees of rudder, very sensitive on turns. Today's run was on x40 prop considerably faster with reduced rudder throw of /- 15 degrees. Current draw was 30 amps max watts 376. Still too sensitive on turns.
Doug, Thanks for the reply, as far as I was aware the S type plastic props were less pitch than the X type plastic props. if your 35 mm metal prop is 1.4 pitch then it is similar to the X35 plastic prop I used in the first video. I think I need to investigate diameters and pitch a little more. Last week running my Huntsman I had an X40 plastic prop on and it was too large and way too fast, a friend running a 34 inch fire launch runs an X 35 so I may go back to look at a 😎35 mm dia metal prop and look at the pitch.

Sterling Yacht America 51 1/2” long 8 1/2” beam 41” high. Model was built from kit has auxiliary electric power and Futaba sail wench servo. Model weighs 11 lbs and has a removable 2 lb. keel weight.
Assembled in 1986. Came out of loft storage, fired up and R/C after 15 years, in August 2018. Shown here at Millbrook Lake, Cornwall. A Krick model - well documented for its origins on their webpages, but steam power arrangements have been updated from this, the so-called "Puffin" arrangement, which was the available and recommended one at the time 1.5 bar pressure and about 20 minutes running time, but often wind-dependent on keeping the gas flame intact!! With a condenser fitted, a very realistic model and great manoeuvrability... and fun!!
This pond yacht was bought for me by my daughter in a pretty poor condition from a car boot sale, I decided to tidy it up and give it back to her as a model for her home. 'True Balou' was her much loved 'Staffie'.

Asheville Class gun boat model is 51” long weighs 22 lbs. hull covered with 2 layers of 2 oz. fiberglass cloth and resin. All plywood and balsa construction finished with fiberglass resin and Model Master paints. Working radar mast, turrets, desiel sound, whopper sound, general quarters sound, sierene. Power is MACK
Drives 12 volt system 2 x 2 6volt 3000 nimh each drive. Very fast in the water.
Boat looked great.The boat ran just fine.Not too much over scale speed.It's good to have a little more speed to avert obstacles,especially oyher boats that don't know where they are.
Model is 49” long and with ballast keel added weighs 17 lbs. hull is covered with 2 layers of 2 oz. cloth fiberglass cloth and painted with Krylon spray can paint. Hitec sail winch servo for main sail and standard servo for jib. Model has auxiliary 6 volt electric power to compincate for my sailing ability’s and wind conditions.
Sails are Mylar.
Model is 28” long weighs 7lbs. Hull covered with 2 oz. fiberglass cloth deck covered with 3/4 oz. fiberglass cloth and resin finished with spar varnish. Power is MACK 5045 motor and 2 6 volt x 3000 nimh packs.
