Firefloat restoration by Bluethunder Chief Petty Officer   Posted: 9 years ago
HI Dave, Thanks for the response, checked the motor...fine and Is suppressed. As a returner to the hobby (after 40 odd years) I have to get to grips with new tech equipment ! Don't have a meter, however Ripmax advise 35amps max. Tried to contact Electronize today ref capacity of their controller but may be snowed out ! Will try adjusting the controls as suggested, meanwhile some advice on a suitable controller manufacturer (just In case) would be good. Les

Firefloat restoration by Bluethunder Chief Petty Officer   Posted: 9 years ago
My resto Is now nearing completion, however, the boat came with an electronize 43 speed controller which doesn't appear to work, sparks appear In the clear plastic box on top but no current at the motor. As It looks like a new controller may be called for any suggestions on amperage...600 12v motor running off lead acid batteries.
