I have only seen those two Crash tenders based at the Sea Plane base on Southampton water. I was stationed in Portland on the 3rd MCM Squadron (HMS Shoulton).
I think you may be confused with the Gay boats (Gay Charger, Gay Cavalier etc) which were in Portland for a short while before they returned to Plymouth. The Gay boats were used for target towing.
    Cheers, Chris

My apologies I should have converted to Metric. Didn't realise you were in UK at the time

The battery weighs 4.7 lbs. It lays on its side to keep weight as low as possible. The length to transom to the nearest edge of battery is 27.5 inches.

I will check later. But I will say I have a 24” version and I had to move the weight fwd because water would pour over the stern at speed when it got on the plane.

I have installed a 12v Duracell battery fwd under the Bridge. For good weight distribution.

Pity they don’t have a multi voltage version for the US market.

I have also coated my 46" RAF Crash Tender with fiber glass matting and used West Systems two part epoxy. i coated the entire hull in one piece apart from the transom. I left it for two days to harden off. it worked very well. I am fitting the rubbing strakes over the top of the fiberglass using modelling pins and 5 minute epoxy.

I have installed a JP EnerG C60 0/R670 (50-20) and am trying to programm the Hawk FS BL100 controller. It asks for how many poles. Does anyone know the number of poles, please? As i cannot get it to work 😑
