Hi ChrisF, I can recollect the teak planking width to be about 4 inches (100mm) or there a bouts on life size ships.
Iโ€™m building the Revell1/72 corvette so I thought 1.5mm planks would pass the test. Thanks for your help. (can't see the builders would give much attention to teak decks on a warship)

Hi Dave, Thanks for your replyโ€ฆ re-decking size. Thought you might nail this one.
In my younger days I was in the merchant navy. Deep sea with Blue Funnel, coasters with Coast Lines and the UBC Baltic paper boats where I worked as crew and travelled as a passenger on the Hertigruten coasters around the Norwegian coast.

Guess you know the Corvette was a modified steam whaler as seen in my profile avatar.
Did you plank your decks? Any help appreciated.๐Ÿคž

Hi, I just stumble onto this siteโ€ฆ. canโ€™t believe Iโ€™ve never noticed it before.
Done mostly plastic or balsa models in my younger days.
Building the Revell 1/72 corvette when I can find the time as my first move into radio control boating. Nice to be here.
